It looks like JLR are doing something to improve the security of our cars.

I received this yesterday in the post and apparently it takes about 45 minutes to do.
If you have not had this letter or are not the original owner then probably worth giving the dealer a call if you have a 2018 onwards car.

Had this done on Monday but no idea what the changes are. Dealer just said “software updates” and when I asked what the difference was they just said “security enhancements”. Interestingly though, when I’ve since tried to disable the keyless entry using the method described in various posts on here and on YouTube it doesn’t work. It worked on my previous RRS but I hadn’t tried it on this one, so don’t know if it’s a consequence of this update or something else. Anyone else got any similar experience?

It’s being done in batches so I’ve been told to wait for my letter in due course.

Just Had my Sport upgraded, now the connectivity had stopped working, so typical, fix one thing and break another, i will have to see tomorrow how many weeks it will take for an appointment, its worse than my local GP Tesla Model Y - 2023

Did you try turning the SIM off and then back on in the settings option?

As far as I remember that woke up the 4G for me.

The update seemed to reset a lot back to factory config and I lost my magnificent 60+ mpg average over 10,000 miles!  2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled
