Cruise Control not working

My cruise has stopped working; I get an exclamation mark saying that radar / sensor is blocked. The car has just been cleaned, so not quite sure what could be blocking it. Or perhaps it has just failed. Car is a 4-year old RRS PHEV, with about 55,000 miles on the clock. Thoughts welcome before I head off to the not-so-local dealership.
