I am looking to purchase a new diagnostic scanner but I want to buy a generic scanner rather than a IID Range Rover specific tool as I have other brands of car. Today I tried to connect my existing Autocom software with OBD connector to my 2019 RRS and it connected but was unable to read anything nor perform any functions.
Does anyone have any experience with the iCarsoft v3.0 or have any recommendations.
Thanks

As you know i would love to buy a II Gap tool but i'm always too slow in buying one on the for sale section.
I have at the moment a launch X431Pros mini that works on a great number of car manufacturers and works great it does lot of things i don't understand and it's not Vin locked.
Have a look through this, i'm not affiliated with the company in any way whats so ever.
Autel is supposed to be another good Bidirectional scan tool, i have only read about these so you have to do your own research on these.

Thank you for the response. I need a scanner that supports DOIP for the 2017+ cars, does anyone have any experience with the VX-Diag scanner. They seem to be available with software for the majority of brands with connectivity to newer cars. The only downside I can find is it works in offline mode but can still interrogate and program all the modules.
