I'm surprised the OEM one is that price. I'd have expected it to be c.£600-700 + VAT. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Be careful when buying something labelled as OEM. Sometimes parts are labelled OEM by the retailer and that's because the manufacturer is an OEM to Land Rover, for a completely unrelated part eg. a tyre valve cap. It doesn't necessarily mean they are the OEM for that exact part.

Update: I’ve had a new rear bar fitted. The bar was OEM and was manufactured by BWI. I’ve been lead to believe that BWI actually make the bars for Land Rover. It cost £499+ VAT from Island-4x4 if anyone is interested. |

Forgot to add that it now corners like it used to without it wallowing around. |

Bought the bar myself for £600 inc vat and was fitted by a local LR specialist for about £400 in labour costs alone. I have been told that it’s not an easy job cos the chassis has to be unbolted from the body. The bar won’t come out without doing this. |
