MY2009 RRS 3.6TD
This morning way into work the range computer and clock 'froze' on the instrument cluster. Even Cruise control wouldnt show o it as 'cruise set xmph'
I will give it a code read tonight and it has had new clocks according tomservice history a few years back (3 I think)
anyome experienced this and can point me in the direction? It is the only thing I noticed that was inop. no loss of pixels or fading etc only the display 'stuck' 🙉😂

if the battery has low voltage then not all the ecu's fire up when starting...

I'd say battery too. Be worth checking it cold and then when the engine is running. Might just need a session on a smart charger or it might indicate a poorly alternator.

If you have tow electrics fitted, you can check the battery through that using the permanent live feed and the earth. That way you get a true reading of the battery's condition before you even unlock the doors. Ideally give it 24 hours to sit unused before you check it, but 12 hours would be ok if you don't have time.

Bear in mind that the voltage can be ok but the capacity of the battery can be degraded. Mine recently had the battery changed - it was showing 12.7V when checked but the proper tester showed its capacity was down to about 250A instead of 850A. So it was working but a cold spell might have had it failing on me. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for replies everyone and taking the time to read. I've only run code reader at it so far. It could well of been the battery as I'd started it, drove 1/2 a mile if that stopped and checked tyre pressures. I'd also had the lights left on not in auto as it was quite misty and I'd stuck front fogs on. So far it hasn't show error since but I will check battery at weekend. Whilst doing wheel bearings.....plural as I don't know which one is noisy so I'll
do all 4! and a couple of bushes 🙈
