BCEM location needed !

Good day to all.
I have an RRS with a communication problem - I have had my instrument panel fixed but I still have a light on. I asked the place that fixed the instrument panel they said it would be the BCEM and likely water ingress (exposed farm in Devon!) and that I could unplug it and send it to them. Unfortunately they are now closed and I don't know where it is on my (new to me) vehicle, please can someone advise? I know what it looks like etc, but I've not the time to be pulling it apart
Vehicle is 2007 RRS TDV6
Thanks in advance and looking forward to reading a lot more on here! Smile

I would guess they meant the BCM or as its known on the landrover CJB which is the fusebox behind the glovebox.

Without it, the car will not start and is matched to the key.

Anyway it's not very easy to get out, and worse to get back in!

do you have a sunroof ?

I think the L/R BeCM term went out with the old P38, I assume you mean a warning light of some sort, as there a quite a few on the sport it might help if you said which one, as there could be numerous causes for one to illuminate.

Cheers

Thank you for your responses

Ref my post - I hope that I am replying correctly, I am no au fait with much on the internet

No the vehicle does not have a sunroof

I will go to the location under the glovebox, that makes sense seeing all the wiring. Sorry if I got the wrong term, I was (with help) looking on ebay for a possible replacement if its not fixable. I hope that it is as obviously it is very unnecessarily expensive if one has to to the a dealership - I'm sure they rub their hands together when they see us coming !!

The suspension has been fixed, as has the instrument panel so it must be the communication between the bit that controls / communicates with it - the light is still on and the reading from the plug in says one is not talking to the other. I guess I need to fix it whatever as an MOT is due very soon. Electrics are so frustrating

What garage are you using? Is it a specialist LR place? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
