can the sport breaks system be bleed like a normal car or will it have to be done by diagnostic like the p38 ?

I think it depends on how much of the system you have disturbed, if just replacing fluid or fitting new flexi brake pipes etc. can be done the old method with a jar and tube, pressure bleeder or vacuum pump etc. If the hydraulic control unit etc. has been removed, replaced for example I believe it has to be bleed via diag. equipment to I assume open various valves/solenoids. I am in the near future about to change the fluid and renew the flex pipes on mine so did read up on it a bit. As a point of interest when I replaced the accumulator and steel brake pipes on my old P38 certainly never connected it to any diag. tool to bleed the system.

Cheers
Col

thanks for that it both the rubber hoses from the front callipers that failed
got them just got to put them on
nothing eles on the break system has been touched so should just be a normal bleeding process

quick update took the rr for a long drive on Saturday put it in command shift left it in 4th gear (at the advice from a mechanic) to get the cats hot 30 mile round trip parked it up left over night
started it yesterday and the engine light has gone off popped diagnostic on and it not showing fault as running to lean
suspect with all the short runs it been doing the cats might of been a bit sooted up

if you can look at live data with a diagnostic tool;
look at the long term fuel trims. If they are getting close to 20% (or in double figures) then the light will probably return.

disconnecting the battery for a few hours should reset the trims

update
got the break pipes sorted EML came back on showing running lean on both banks.
done live check both lambada sensors showing 1V.
but MAF (delphine brand) is dropping in volts when the revs get up thinking this could now be causing the light to come on as on inspection it looks like it never been replaced from new.
