P00BD-07 MAF General failure

Any help please… dreaded restricted performance!
Drove ~40 minutes, quick stop, restarted, accelerated and straight into restricted performance
IID shows error below
Could be be a simple clean the MAF, or replace?
Using IID is it possible to check the input values, if so, what range should it give for a good sensor?
Assume can pull up live values, but not check before, so any help would be great

TIA

Update fixed, thought I had posted this but clearly not

Seems that taking both MAF sensors off and thoroughly cleaning with proper MAF contact cleaner has resolved this issue, though clear that one has already been changed and the other original is fairly worn.

Anyway 6m on and still running fine 😜 RRS L320 2010 facelift model 3L TDV6

How do the MAF sensors get dirty and/or worn. Mine are always pristine whenever I have checked them and after 11 years of owning the vehicle.

Lucky you

They measure the air flow from air filter to engine, so they will get dirty over time, especially on UK roads and occasionally off road RRS L320 2010 facelift model 3L TDV6

I need to replace my airfilter every 6 months as it gets extremely dirty - so I dont think the English roads are any worse than those here. Downstream of the filter is always very clean i.e the filter is doing its job properly.
