Brake Failure, oil in servo RRS 2.7 tdv6 2007

Hi, I have a range rover sport 2007 l320. I have a problem with the brake pedal going hard when edging forward. I can hear running water sound coming from the engine bay when I have my foot on the pedal, sounds like it's coming from the servo which would indicate oil in the servo. After doing some research it seems there was a safety recall for this exact problem (P017) but it has recurred. I rung the dealer and they said the recall was completed in 2009 on my vehicle and the recall ended in 2010 and the dealer are not interested in covering the bill even though this was a severe safety recall which can cause brake failure and has.
! Where do I stand with this as the brake servo, pump etc are a non serviceable part and a critical infrastructure to the vehicle which surely after a recall should last a long time if not a lifetime of the car? My range rover has a full service history and has only covered 90000 miles. Just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else. I know its a £1000+ fix at a specialist!!! Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi pal I had the exact same scenario, recall carried out on my 2005 2.7 prior to my ownership then had the same hard pedal symptom. JLR were not interested in fixing it again. I paid a good independent to sort it but you likely need the following items replacing.
Vacuum pump, updated pipes and servo. The updated pipes have a one way valve which prevents oil migrating up from the pump into the servo causing the hard pedal. It's my understanding that when the recall was done JLR only replaced the servo and ignored the actual cause of the issue thus it eventually returns. Hope you get it sorted but find a good LR indy to do it.

As above. Reqs new vacuum pump and servo, and if the brake fluid has been contaminated, a new brake master cylinder too
