Restricted performance

Good morning

I have a RRS SDV6 2011, car is running absolutely fine until i accelerate hard then i get the red triangle stating restricted performance.
I plug my gap tool in and clear and all is well again but this has happened 3 times now, the code i get is P22D4-13 (2F )
Turbocharger turbine inlet valve position sensor circuit- general electrical failure.
Can anybody advise me please, do i need to do anything or is this leading to something more sinister.

Thanks in advance

Chris

This is the valve on the back of the secondary turbo. We've see a few go faulty over the years, but worth checking continuity between the sensor and PCM first, as it's not a cheap part...

Many thanks for the response, when you say check continuity do you mean see if this continues to happen when i accelerate hard ?
If so do you have a rough idea of cost please

Regards

Chris

Mike

Thanks again, wiring certainly not part of my limited knowledge.
I will see what my local indy makes of it should it occur again.

Regards
