It's worth giving blanking ago. Fitting blanking slims seams to be the way to go these days, as an MOT tester can't tell its been messed with.

As Andy says. My car had the butterfly removed but left the linkage in. Mine is older than yours and it still shows a fault listed when I plug my IID in. I just clear them and the car runs fine some 4 years after I’ve had it done. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

Mine is an 07 (Euro 4) and is blanked - you will still get the EMl so this will have to programmed out. I also have the butterfly removed - no issues.
