Wow, I’ve never seen or heard of anything like that. Shocked 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Whatever’s happened that radiator needs replacing urgently! By all counts it’s also a git of a job!

It’s the coolant rad.

I was wondering if insufficient Anti freeze could have caused it. But probably not

Does you air con work ?

Air on works. But I think this has only just happened since I switched to ECON. I’m almost sure of it.

The air con rad slots/mounts on your faulty coolant rad.

I tend to use some long cable ties, linked together to make longer, to secure the air con rad to the top slam panel loosely.
You then unslot it from the coolant rad, and remove coolant rad.

The biggest difficulty is removing the fan.
Need special fan tools

So today was a little worrying. A very small LRS looked at the Rad today. Never seen anything like it before. I know it needs replaced, just wondering how long its been like that now . . . Going to take it to Les Potts in Sunderland (big LRS). See what they say.
