Hand brake shoe replacement

I have just changed out the rear wheel bearing on a 2008 Sport. I put the hand brake on after I had stripped unit down. I have gone to refit the brake shoes and I am struggling to refit the spring that goes over the cable , W hen i inadvertently put the hand brake will this have some how pulled the cable in ,or does some thing need resetting

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

I think a good idea is to remove the fuse to prevent this from happening when doing this kind of work. But, I'm guessing with disc being off then there is nothing to limit the travel of the cable so the module may have would itself to the end of its travel. I'm sure there is an unjam procedure in the how to section that may be of some help. 2010 RRS, TDV8
