I have a terrible knocking noise when accelerating, this knocking is unbearable when special programmes are selected. It almost feels like something is slipping.

Has anyone ever come across this?

Might be worth checking propshaft centre bearing, I don't think it's uncommon for the rubber cushion to break up. Easy enough and doesn't cost anything and go from there. I know the old P38's used to suffer from transfer case chain stretching and jumping teeth and making a noise when under load, but don't know if Sport has similar issues, what sort of mileage does it have on it?

Had it in a LR specialist and they say it's the transfer box. Don't suppose you know if these need calibration when changed?
