I fitted security bollard to our driveway after we got burgled and they took wifes audi tt, i would rather not know someone attempted to steal my car but couldn't do due to immobiliser or by other means, would rather make it easer for them not to attempt it in the first place, security bollard is the way to go |

I had & still have a disk lock,,it is a good deterrent as the thiefβs will probably see it on steering wheel & carry on to next car. Andy.

Was referring to whilst car is parked on your own driveway, as most are stolen off driveways due to scanning of fob, was just trying to help a fellow forum member by recommending a good security device whilst he and his family are a sleep at night, glad you can make a joke of a serious problem |

Totally agree. Mini-toggle switch linked to the fuel-pump does the trick. In my Subaru Impreza (also desirable at the time) it was a couple of dashboard switches that had to be on/off in the right order for it to start. I also used to chain my GSXR to the towbar on my Subaru (it was the 5dr "family" version) on the basis it covered two bases! I. was living in East London at the time... Whatever you do, make it hard or inconvenient for any potential thieves. CCTV and bright lights help too. Anything to make it too much hassle that they go looking for an easier alternative. |
