L494 My16 SIM card holder or replacement part no required

Hi All,

I went to install a SIM card (in drivers footwell) for the first time yesterday and noticed that it needs a holder but unfortunately mine is not present..

I have searched the forum and Advanced factors but not found the part number or replacement alternative for the sim card holder.

Could you please help. 2015 4.4 Autobiography

Have you tried a mobile phone repair shop, might be similar thing they use in older tablets etc.

Cheers

I have a 2016 and am looking to also get a SIM card but you are right, there is a tray that comes out when you press the little round button next to the slot.
From what I can tell, it looks like a standard SIM tray but it must have something to keep int in place.

It's dark now but I can take a picture of it tomorrow if that helps? 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

Hi, as promised here is a photo of the SIM card holder and also a regular (max) size sim next to it.

I went to Tesco and bought a SIM card with 10gb and it seems to work fine for creating my interior wifi hotspot without needing to first put the sim in a phone.

Not sure of the part number for SIM card holder though, sorry.

I would assume that the tray is part of the SIM card reader/hotspot module LR061020

It might be worth looking for a second hand one if you just need the tray. Paul Redding

Just thought I would post how I sorted this in the end.

Several searches couldn’t find the tray only so the only option is to purchase a secondhand unit.

Tip use the DPLA-70722 code on eBay and you can find the same unit that are in JAG’s for £30 Lamdrover parts tax was circa £50 when searching in that part no. 2015 4.4 Autobiography
