Disabling The Alarm

All,

Is there an easy way of turning the Alarm off?
Mine goes off randomly, doesn't seem linked to the Bonnet Catch, and i think is having a heavy drain on my Battery let alone annoying me and the neighbours.

Its an 07 RRS HST

First try pressing the remote lock button twice for a few days.
Then try pressing 3 times.

Maybe able to disable with gap iid?

Yeah, i have started pressing twice as this disables the interior alarm (apparently), and if i only press it once, alarm goes off almost everytime.

What does 3 times do?

Can’t remember.
Not even sure it’s a thing Laughing
But count the flashes of the dash red light to see if it goes into a different mode

Have you read fault codes to see if it’s logged what triggered if

Second one is more sensible.

The red ones you have to pay a yearly licence for them to work.

I’m not 100% it will give you an alarm code, but it’s the sensible way to move things forward trying.

Seams the first year is free. I think it’s about £19 for the second year from memory

Pressing the lock button once single locks,,,,, only locks the vehicle from outside entry ( perimetric). Pressing the lock button twice within 3 secs double locks ( locks from inside and outside) and also set the interior space alarm. You can disable the interior sensor and tilt sensor via the dash menu ( alarm sensors) but it is not permanent and will automatically revert to enabled again when you next open the car. 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!
Many years ago,,,,, 1955 series 1 landie , sometimes wish I had kept it

Its for life on the 1st manufacture you select, then, approx £19 per year for every additional manufacturer you add.
Its a very cheap useful tool for scanning and clearing DTC's, oil change reset, steering reset EPB etc etc not sure it will help with your alarm though
