L494 Starter Motor

Chaps,

Any thoughts on a failed starter motor?

Mine has failed (according to the AA)... Hard to repace / cost?
- FYI; i have a Warranty Direct warranty... But it excludes wear and tear on insured components over 70k miles.... Lets see.

Very few posts on starters in the L494 forum.

The garage that recovered my car has figured out that it is the loom attached to the starter motor that has failed...

Most annoyingly, Warranty Direct (Gold) policies do not cover wiring looms 2022 P440e AB
