Ok thanks, managed to get to it this morning, had to remove the aluminium shield under the driver wheel arch so i could get a 10mm ratchet spanner from above and it came free. As you say, i did end up hugging the underside!

Managed to wiggle it out and i can see why the comments on undoing the +ve cable, thanks for your support.

sorry i should have said Trolly Jack...essentially take the top piece and put it over the 2ft break bar to get me the leverage.....i had no chance without it. Worked great for me on undo and also the +90 degrees stretch on tightening |
