(65 plate RRS - 3.0 SDV6).

I’ve recently bought my RRS - and strangely the rear camera doesn’t work at all and neither do the parking sensor visuals pop up.

The parking sensors themselves do work however and I get the audible alerts.

The menu options are there for the camera but nothing happens at all when you the tap the camera button on the infotainment system.

I’ve tried changing the fuse for the rear camera (2amp) but still no luck. I’ve also changed the fuse for the parking sensors (10amp) to no avail.

Any advice from anyone who’s faced similar?

I suspect you have 1 faulty sensor, can you download the utlrasonic app on your phone and test them each to see if one is bad?

I gave the ultra sound detector app a try but no luck unfortunately. It doesn’t seem to detect anything.

I did check each sensor one by one by however by waving something in front of each one individually and they all work.

Incidentally however the rear sensors were quite laggy and took a while to respond compared to the front ones…..

what is the correct app to use anyway ?

I used something called ‘UltraSound Detector’ by Sergio Gudkov

Go into diagnostic mode to see if you get an image from the camera. The camera is transmitting all of the time, selecting reverse only switches the screen to camera rather than switching the camera on. If it doesn’t work in diagnostic mode, you either have a failed camera or a bad co-ax. If there was no power I think you would get a dash warning. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I think any of the ultrasound apps work, I tried a few on the mrs Exeo when diaging my system.

On the camera in the Valet mode mine has a green line but works fine when in reverse???

Ok so camera, different age although I am fitting one with a separate monitor.
