I had a fun weekend changing the front upper suspension arms and linkage.

Whilst the car as in the air i looked at the bottom of the air bags and thought that looks bad?



Thoughts please! I don't know if this is "normal" or not.
Car has 108k miles - and I'm going to guess that like the rest of stuff its the original. Current car - 2016 MY17 L494 in black - sometimes towing a Buccaneer Cruiser.
Sadly gone - 2013 L320 3.0 TD in grey! sometimes towing a Buccaneer Cruiser.

I don’t know what’s not to be confused as surface corrosion and end of life of the component. You could just scratch away some to see the extent of the corrosion and make a decision from there. Then it comes down to do you want to or do you need to. I haven’t done mine but others on here have, changing the whole unit as it’s easier. From memory I think you’re looking at £250 a corner, but may be wrong. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
