Command shift

Does anyone else find it a bit counter intuitive to pull back to go forward and push forward to go back? 2015 RRS Autobiography Dynamic Corris Grey Black Roof

It's one of the most annoying parts of the car , the amount of times you think you're in gear but it's in neutral and you end up revving the balls off it is embarrassing ! Far better on my old disco where the lever actually moves so you know exactly what gear your in without even thinking .
Due to the massive WBAC valuations at the moment I'm thinking of cashing it in and getting and early SQ5 just so I don't have to put up with that gear selector and the very annoying touch screens that plague all modern cars !
Used to love my previous Q7 where without taken your arm off the arm rest or your eyes off the road you could select what ever functions you want . Given all the HSE regs we all have to adhere to in our business's today I can't believe modern cars are legal and I'm sure many lives have been lost in the name of fashion !
I must be getting old Laughing MY24 Dynamic SE,MY21 HSE Silver, MY20 SQ7, MY 18 RRS HSE Dynamic , MY 16 RRS Autobiography now gone & MY 2005 Discovery 3 HSE that I will be buried in !

Fully agree its counter-intuitive. I would certainly like a word or two with those responsible for the location and function of some of the other switchgear in the cabin as well. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014
