Good to hear, I have been with WD for a couple of years now (not had to claim yet) but always good to hear positive stories on claims being authorised. |

Would you mind sharing what the warranty claim for 5K was for?

Not at all. It’s all in my previous posts but I’ve had 3 claims, 1 for the pinion seal, 1 for door actuator for soft close doors and the 3rd which has just been approved (3 weeks ago) was for OS turbo and vacuum pump ( I think) I’ll know more once the work is done but is costing £3.5k |

Just make sure your car is serviced as per LR schedule. Like I said in a previous post, with the first 2 claims they didn’t even question the service history but on the 3rd which is a big one they scrutinized it asking for service details which were not logged on the LR online service history. All good at my end luckily but I imagine they were looking for an excuse not to pay out. |

Thanks for heads up, luckily I have full LR main dealer history as knew this would always be an issue if you need to make a claim. (I initially had the LR approved used 2 year warranty before using WD) |

Even though I got a good deal 3 years ago with £860 for three years cover on everything except Infotainment, I've just had my renewal through.

Chris, it could well be triggered by the age of the car plus their experience of LR claims. I reckon that almost any claim will come to at least £1k.

Mmm my car is a 2015 with 46K on the clock. Don’t know what mileage your car is but I’m sure that could be a factor too. |

Doesn’t make any sense does it. Are you going to renew? I said to myself I wouldn’t be renewing as I was expecting a high premium due to my claims but now I’m contemplating it. If the renewal cost was like yours I wouldn’t be though. I actually went on their site and inputted my details as a new customer expecting some new customer discount and the premium was £3250. I can’t imagine anyone getting a warranty at that price…….. |
