Not sure if yours would be the same as mine but,, foot on brake, press start for a couple of seconds,,, after a few seconds ( depending on how cold it is) engine will start,,, but you need to keep your foot on the brake all the while. Sometimes the " few seconds " seems like an hour. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Press the button without your foot on the footbrake, you should have a glowplug light on the dash, once this goes out, foot on the brake and press button again.

As said, foot on brake, press start button, wait and it’ll start when they’re warm. It’s hovering around 0° here so startups can take sometimes ten or so seconds. I have the timed heater enabled on mine, this helps cut the wait time down a lot since the engine and interior are already warming up. However, on the weekends I notice the longer delay to start since I rarely go anywhere at the times the FBH runs. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

I have never had to wait more than a couple of seconds before it fires up, even when the temp is showing a minus number. RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014
