England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
Buz

I have a buzzing noise, coming from the battery area ,any thoughts on this would be appreciated ££££ Chris

Is this all the time or just when the engine is running? . First place I would look is in the fuse box if yours is next to the battery, check that none of the relays are chattering,, put your finger on each one in turn see if you can feel any difference between them. If your old school use the " screwdriver in your ear " method Laughing 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!
Many years ago,,,,, 1955 series 1 landie , sometimes wish I had kept it

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

The ECU sits in a box on the bulkhead behind the battery and the box has a fan to keep it cool. Might be the fan making the buzzing noise. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for the reply . Does the fan run on after the car is turned off, it makes the noise for about 20seconds after car is switched off

That could be the EGR valves. They cycle through their range motion to ensure they don't get stuck. They do make a buzzing type sound when they do it.

The ECU fan may continue to run if the ECU is hot, of course, but I'm not certain whether it does or not. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
