If you are paying under £200 for steps then I would doubt their quality Joined the X5 45e club

The steps ive bought are £219 & ive had 3 sets before without any problems. They have the strong cast alloy brackets that you can also Jack the car up on,ive seen some with steel brackets that just bend if you try jacking on. Andy.

Sidesteps arrived today & are very good quality,,I’m fitting them on customers car next Wednesday,I checked the car today & the holes are threaded so hopefully should only take about 30-40 minutes to fit. Andy.

Fitted mine from sidestepsuk.co.uk last weekend and went on okay and look good. My advice would be to make sure you clean out the threaded holes and try the bolts first to make sure the threads are clean. Also use lots of WD40 and easier with two people.
