Has anyone tried one of these to power a dash cam? Plugs into the OBD II Port and selectable to allow constant power or power for 10 mins after the ignition is switched off. It seems a much simpler method than piggy backing a fuse etc to hardwire a dash cam?

Tyrefitter, thanks for your reply..so are you using the Thinkware OBD II permanently connected to your car? and does it have some kind of electrical circuit protection? |

Autobiography1969, thanks for your reply. I believe the switch on the adapter can be selected for permanent power (24hrs) or 10 mins after ignition has been off. |

I Got one of these with my Garmin dashcam 57 and it seems to work exactly as described: shuts off power after 10 mins (with a 24 hour option) It also completely powers down if the battery voltage gets too low.
