Hi all,

I was getting a bag out of the boot and pressed the close button on the bottom of the tailgate, when it closed it was approx 1/3 of the way down and then stopped and opened again. I tried again and there was a resistance in one of the struts but as I was in a petrol station I needed it it to close so as gently as possible helped it passed the point.

It now catches the latch as if it dropped slightly and doesn’t sit squarely when closed.

Hi all,

shameless bump alert. I have been away for two weeks and it seems to have settled a little in the time and now shuts without catching the lock but still looks twisted as doesn’t sit squarely when closed.

Is this be cause one of the struts internals a knackered or can they be re-aligned? 2015 4.4 Autobiography

I think the tail alignment was an issue on most l494 from the factory they all seem to look a bit low along the line.

Powerfuluk did a video on how to adjust it if you are brave enough! its a rear spolier off job but once that is the done the rest seems pretty stright forward but will require some fetlling! If a jobs worth doing, get a someone who knows what they are doing to do it!
