4x4 screen question

hi all,

i purchased a 2006 2.7 RRS today as a bit of a project car. The vehicle i bought doesnt have the screen fitted above the original head unit. its just a cubby hole. i was of the opinion all RRS came with the 4x4 screen? can the screen be retrofitted?

one of the first things i want to upgrade is the audio/nav system. any advice on install to replace existing unit without having to take out a mortgage.

The LCD is driven from the factory 6 CD headunit.
So if your going to replace that, forget fitting an lcd

Do you have an amp under the drivers seat?

The screen wasn't fitted to all RRS - the early SE versions, I think, didn't have it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

seeing as i never had the 4x4 screen can i just replace the existing headunit with a double din unit?

I'd quite forgotten that there used to be an S model. Not many of those were sold, I'd have thought. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
