The ACE system on the sport is pretty reliable on the whole (granted the system eats bushes and has a habit of clanking). If the system breaks it's usually a leaking roll bar, the ECU failing is just bad luck I think |

Have found a damaged rear sway bar, may it be that the control module gets in to protection mode for this damage? Or should I dig for more info about this issue?

There's physically no way that the rear sway bar failing would damage the ecu. I would check the connections to the ecu and see if there's any water damage or if a plug isn't seated properly.

When you say longitudinal movement do you mean the full unit moves or half of the unit slides while the other doesn't ? The way the bars create torsion is they expand and contract, so the bar itself is 'floating' and will move to allow for the expansion/contraction of the unit. The full bar should be a solid mass though.

Yes the bar has some longitudinal movement of about 2cm

This error code relates to the Terrain Response module. This is below the rotary control for the Terrain Response system by the gear lever. However, a fault in the TR module doesn't cause any other faults other than an inability to access the off road programmes. Any faults in related systems, however, cause the Terrain Response system to be unhappy so I'd be looking elsewhere first. The only connection between the Anti roll bar system and the anti roll ECU (called the Dynamic Response Module (DRM)) is electrical. The DRM has a power feed via Fuse 9 in the engine bay fuse box, a CANBUS connection (with which it talks to the other ECUs around the vehicle), wires to/from two accelerometers, wires to/from the dynamic response valve block pressure sensor and the two valves in the valve block. There is also a ground connection. As the U0434 code is invalid date from the DRM, I'd be checking the connections carefully. There are two plugs in to the DRM. The DRM is situated on the driver's A pillar behind the dashboard. You can access it via the driver's footwell. Check the individual wires going in to the plugs are correctly seated. Check the earth points are all tight too. There are several around the vehicle. The noise from the anti roll bar could just be the bar acting in "locked bars" mode which just means it behaves like a normal anti roll bar. This would happen if the system was suffering a fault. One of the side effects of the way the various systems interact is that a problem in one system can manifest in another. For example, a fault in the steering angle sensor can cause a Dynamic Response fault to be recorded. Similarly with the ABS module. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Code C1A00 was found in the ARCM module as well as U0434.

AS an aditional info, all the codes has been erased and still DTC1A00 ECU Internal Failuer persist.

Is the ARCM a direct replacement or it has to be activated/flashed in order to work? |

The Dynamic Response module has two tunes in it: one for the 2.7 diesel and petrol models, and one for the TDV8. Not sure if the system picks it up automatically though. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Finally the problem was solved, a faulty ARC module was the main cause of all the light at the dash.
