The front and the interior look fantastic, and arguably true to RRS. I am less than enamoured with the rear, which belongs more on a Velar. MY21.5 HSE 221KW D16

Had a play with the Configurator. The new range does not seem to have a model that is a direct comparison to my MY21.5 D300 HSE, which has maybe AUD10K of options, eg sunroof and metallic paint. The closest comparable model appears to be the D350 HSE Dynamic. That vehicle, similarly configured, would cost me AUD19K. Yes, that is a lot more car, but also a lot more dollars.

I bemused to see some of the “nickel & dime’ing”… eg front fog lights are a few hundred extra, as is mood lighting, ditto gesture tailgate. The Black Pack was $0 option on the HSE, now $3K extra. I am not familiar enough with the previous Dynamic model to compare, but it seems that you might have to pay AUD14K to get the Stormer pack to get the equivalent driving dynamics (NB it does include 4-wheel steering). Happy to be corrected on that point.

Would I buy one? Yup, if money was no object, I would order one now, expecting to take delivery late 2023, if not the following year. That is not the case, so an upgrade is going to have to wait for 6 or 7 years, at least. MY21.5 HSE 221KW D16

@NAKS… yeah, that’s about right, depending on which rate, ie which FX calculator, you use for GBP:AUD. MY21.5 HSE 221KW D16
