L494 cam cover oil leak LR quoted £3250?

Hi i have a HSE 2016 RRS 3 Liter Diesel at 44k
it didnt have any oil laeks until it went for the service today. I have recently noticed a slight sluggishness when accelarating too not sure whether its related. The LR came back with cam cover sligh oil wheeping. Can this be the cause of the very slight perfomance drop? How urgent is this fix if that is a very small leak? How much you guys recogn for this Job LR quoted £3260

What exactly are they proposing to do for their £3,260? "Cam cover slight oil weeping" means what? What are they going to replace, how many hours labour? You need a proper quote to decide if it's reasonable.
Your biggest problem is that you have taken your car to a LR main dealer. Their sole intention is to empty your wallet.
You need to find a good honest independent Land Rover specialist who know about your car, can competently diagnose the fault and will only fix what is wrong with it. I'm sure someone on here will be able to advise you of a good indi local to you.

I would check the oil level if it's just been serviced. Wouldn't put it past a LR dealership to overfill it.

As for the cam cover, the one part also forms the air inlet plenum. I had both replaced at an indie for less than half what your dealer is quoting.

Take it to a decent indie and get a second opinion. Ask them about the performance loss too. It wouldn't be a surprise to find that the LR dealer has damaged something. Then, once it's all sorted, avoid LR dealers in the future. No, really, they are worse than useless and will cost much more than you will get back from "full LR dealership history" at sale time. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
