A few weeks ago I had 4x 'GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 3' tyres (275/40/20) fitted.

I'm really pleased with them. We've had some ridiculously hot weather since, and some torrential rain.

So far these tyres have been excellent. They've already been put through their paces on various road surfaces. Also, at 69db they are remarkably quiet compared to the Pirelli P-Zero's that were on there.

A bit early to take fuel efficiency into account, but as these were a little cheaper than the Pirelli's I'm a happy bunny. Hopefully they will last as long as the Pirelli's did. Barrie.

Jolly good. I recently put on Continental Sport 4x4 jobbies. Initially I thought oh god what have I done, feeling very understeery. Now with a bit of mileage on though they’ve improved. I’d rate the Pirelli a better tyre though and I would never be accused as a fast driver. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

I was hesitant to change from Pirelli's having had 2 sets since I took ownership of the car. I never had any problems with them and they are durable. But I don't need "all-season" tyres here as the temperatures don't drop that low, so I looked at summer tyres. I read several articles that said summer tyres cope better in wet conditions than all-season and the reviews for the Eagle F1 A's were pretty consistent wherever I looked - and they were quite a bit cheaper than the Pirellis.

Good to know - I'd be tempted to go back to "summer" tyres next time; I fitted General Grabber all terrain tyres last time and, since then, it has only snowed once and I haven't been anywhere muddy
