I'm getting a squeak from the rear of my 2018RRS when it goes over any sort of bump. The dealer has acknowledged the issue and it is booked in to be investigated shortly. After reading this I've had a look and it appears the tailgate it a little loose when closed and that the noise could be coming from the gas struts. Should there be this sort of movement in the tailgate when it's closed? Where did you tailgate crack and was this evident without removing all of the trim? I don't just want the gas struts changed (or worse just lubricated) if there is a more fundamental issue as my warranty will be up soon (although I am planning to take out the LR extended warranty). |
