1st Impressions - My New 55 Supercharged RR Sport

1) Engine
Wow. It sounds awesome. The supercharger whine just eggs you on. Speed - Exciting, especillay when you kick down from 30 MPH. I'm averaging 17 miles to the gallon. Mostly motorway miles. It's going to be worse in town.

2) Brakes
The Brembos are awesome stoppers.

3) Sound System
Logic 7? - Sounds fab - Pete Tong's base lines have never be so sharp and loud!
An MP3 playing 6 stacker front loading system. Fab - pleased that they included MP3.

4) Comfort
From picking her up on Friday and a 7 hour dive North, I arrived almost rested.

5) Sat Nav
Surprisingly good for a manufacturer system. ETA information is crap though. TMC not perfect but it isn't anywhere. Just serviced so many menus work on the move.

6) PTI
Sometime my phone stays connected to the system when a call is lost. And my RAZR doesn't seem to work too well inside the car. Losing calls alot. Could just be my phone.

7) Adaptive Cruise Control
Love it. What a good safety feature - most useful when a car in front brakes lightly to begin with then applying the brakes harder later. Point being that the car in front already has it brake lights on but the car detects the an increase in deceleration in the car in front before (my) the eye does.

8 Dynamic Response
Very comfortable and allows fast lane changes.

9) Xenon's
Goodness they are bright. Some other drivers definitely think you have high beam on.
I love the adaptive nature of the lights moving left and right.

Thanks again for your advice. One of the most positive online communities I've been on.

Regards
Paulo

PS - It's snowing up here in Scotland. Snow mode baby! Very Happy 2022 P440e AB

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

It's snowing hard but it isn't yet settling, down here near Stirling ............................... and I have to fly to Hamburg today so my Defender is on airport taxi duties as it's BGG AT tyre are more suitable for snow than the RRS's Continental M&S tyres as I found out in January when I had to do the airport run with 5cms of snow on the ground and ice underneath. The Continentals were as useful as a set of racing slicks when the treads clogged up with snow, the BFG's have 12mm deep really chunky treads. I think I'll have to consider a set of General Grabber AT2's for the RRS for next winter. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
