Just picked up a nice example TDV8 to add to my collection and as good as it sounds would be nice to hear more of the V8

I know theres lots of threads on here with modifying the exhaust, some taking just back boxes off, others its the centre box and some full straight pipe.

I want to know what its like to live with for those that have modified there exhausts and have had them for a while, any regrets doing it? best combo for just a little bit more sound? go aftermarket and replace whole exhaust or just cut the boxes off and replace that piece with a straight pipe or x pipe if centre box? RRS SUPERCHARGED, 22 INCH ALLOYS, JAVA BLACK, FULLY COLOUR CODED

Thoughts on a straight through system (no boxes) is that whilst OK for those in the front, it is a bit noisy if sitting in the back at motorway speeds.

Were I to do it again, I might have a small centre box fitted.

Did u replace the whole exhaust with an aftermarket or just replace the boxes with a straight pipe or x pipe for centre?

All new cat back 2.5" SS pipes, made and fitted by MIJ in Walsall.

They will fit whatever you want, and I paid less than the cost of the 2 rear boxes (LR prices) that I needed to correct the issue I had.

With regards to how bad is it, as you say, we're in the front, and I rarely have passengers in the back.

However, the 'bark' I get when you floor it is similar to my sons C63, which is the next best sound to a Merlin engine, and possibly why I won't be putting a box in it.

Any regrets of how loud it is or would u change it in any way? Any drone on the motorway or high speeds? Do u remember how much they charged?

A C63 sounding exhaust on your RRS must be great to have, any vid clips?

No regrets, I think it was £500 ish.

Like I said, I wouldn't have this one modified, but might have another one if I were to have another RRS, fitted with a small centre box to just turn it down a bit.

2½" decat downpipes (with dummy cats)

Rest of system os standard 2¼". Middle silencer is approx ½ the size of a standard one, and then straight through

I think they have stopped doing custom work. If there is genuinely enough interest, I'd ask of they'd do a run of them. But unless we have at least 10 orders, I doubt they'd even entertain it...
