Offroad instruction day Friday 6th April

Our sister site disco3.co.uk are running an instruction day for the D3 and RRS.

Offroad Introduction Day, Friday 6th April

To start at Pembridge, Herefordshire.
The day will start with an introduction to the essentials of offroading - safety, navigation, ground-reading, understanding vehicle systems, limitations and advantages of Discovery3 & RRSport, basic equipment required, fundamental principles and practices etc.
Drive to a private track including some mild green-laning, followed by a demonstration drive.
You will then convoy along specifically selected tracks and be given 1:1 instruction on:-
side slopes
cross - axle situations
failed hill ascents
gear selection
use of HDC, DSC, TR, high & low ratio gearbox etc.

To save time, a 'bacon butty' type lunch will be provided on site.

The afternoon will focus on reinforcing the skills you learnt in the morning together with increasing your confidence in both your own and the vehicle's ability

Obviously, a 'standard' D3 / RRS will be more than capable of completing the day, tracks & tasks will be selected to ensure the risk of damage is minimised but you as the driver have the ultimate responsibility, provided you listen and act upon instructions (however contra-intuitive they may seem) then there should be no risk whatsoever.
