There is a dedicated PS2 power converter which I used. Havn't used it for a while and don't remember about the sound. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Yes it plugs into the PS2 - this is the one I have.

I fitted a PS2 into an X5 some time ago...however I bought one that was already converted for in-car use... in other words no inverter...only a 12V in. Sound was output to an RF transmitter for RF headphones. I bought the unit directly from an incar specialist supplier/distributer. I believe Inverters draw a lot of power and can flatten your battery, so your engine has to be on for prolonged use! |

No it was the big one. They changed power supply inside it, so no inverter.
