Water in Drivers footwell 2013 RRS black edition

Have recently bought a 2013 RRS HSE Black Edition (love the car) when i was cleaning the inside a week after i'd bought it and I noticed the Drivers side carpets were damp, iI put it down to maybe the valet it had had, after about 2 weeks it was dry (no Rain) until today when I drove back from Wales (80miles) in the pouring rain, when I got home I made a point of checking the carpets in the drivers footwell and it was sodden, mainly under and next to the accelerator pedal and less so by the left foot rest, I didn't have the air con on at all so don't think it can be any air con drain issue, the passenger side has been bone dry since I have owned her (about 4 weeks) Oh and it has no sunroof either, so the obvious question is........... Any ideas please??

Hi I think and I’m sure those more informed than myself will correct me the external window pillow trim can cause a leak problem I believe there are kits available to resolve this it may be a good place to start. Thumbs Up n

As suggested would be a good starting point, but I would think a 2013 car would have the "improved" style clips, however that doesn't mean to say the foam seals on them have not deteriorated over time, or if had screen replaced at some point could have been damaged in some way, if you do remove the trim buy new clips first as there is a strong possibility some will break when removing it.

Cheers

Depending on purchase date it may still be under warranty.
