Common problem is that the intercooler pipes deteriorate with age, easy and cheap fix so check those.

Does it smoke under load? Black smoke would suggest an intercooler pipe has split. White smoke suggests a turbo failing. If it's the latter, don't drive it until it's looked at because it's not unknown for a turbo failure to stuff enough oil in to the intake system to hydro-lock the engine. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thank you for the pointer. Found the top right hand hose split, will replace both top hoses immediately and sort the bottom two later. Thanks again |
