I am new to the LR brand though wife has an Evoque and this is my first time buying a new RRS from my local dealer, just wondering what other's experiences are once an order has been placed...I have had zero communication around build dates etc despite email to the salesman and leaving phone messages. Order placed at start of March and was told 10-12 weeks so hoping for a late May delivery...Does LR have a system which shows order progress that is in any way accurate? Also how long does a dealer need to prep the car once they get it on site? MY2022 HSE Silver D300 in Firenze Red with black contrast roof

Don't let them prep it. Get them to take it to your detailer & get them to do it. This is what I always do for ceramic coating.
Even if you don't want it coated a detailer will do a far better job than the dealership with their time constraints, the dirty rag & quick polish with that stuff that always leaves white residue in the hard to reach places.

Great news that the plants are closing, maybe they, the dealers, can now improve on 3 week lead time to get in the workshop for repairs etc.

Finally got an update, the closure is not affecting RRS production and I am still on target with a build date of 7th May. MY2022 HSE Silver D300 in Firenze Red with black contrast roof
