Every time I start my car after around 40-50 seconds I get a long continus beep for about 2 seconds no warnings on the dash or anything and Im baffled as to what it is

Is this after a period of wet weather ? i had an issue with MY16 relating to the gesture tailgate - it was trying to open whislt I was driving and the beeps were the error warnings...worse still. car used to chirp/beep whilst locked and on the driveway after a period of wet weather - again, water dripping past sensor for the gresture tailgate and no key being present resulted in the Beeps....called LR assist who fixed it...known issue and applied a fix - think reduced sensitity of the sensor and cleaned around it.

Hi thanks for the reply but its not rained for a while and I do not have a gesture tailgate I thought it was to do with temp but today 13c and still beep
