i have just received a quote to restore my rims and i think it may be a tad expensive so just want to check.

i need all 4 refurbished with one rim needing straightening a total cost of £480 (4x90 + 120)

They remove the tyres and completly clean and restore each rim so not just the face painting...

I have had 2 sets of wheels refurbished by The Wheel Specialist (franchise in Fareham) both were 18 inch rims with no major damage and straight, so they grit blast then powder coat and the cost for 4 wheels was £360 - £400. I had a 21 inch refurbed for £90 at an Audi body shop, the straightening is the unknown Joined the X5 45e club

I get wheels straightened including any welds that may be needed for £60 a wheel.

As for full refurbing, full acid dip and powder coating including filling in damage, £80 single colour + VAT or £120 + VAT for paint and any diamond cutting.

As I prefer paint to powder coat, I get just the face cleaned and damage repaired, then painted for £60 all in per wheel.

I had my 21s refurbed for £75 a wheel.

Tyres off, loaner pair of wheels provided.

Acid dipped to remove old paint (they were satin black), minor kerb damage repaired, then powder coated and ovwn baked in dark gun metal grey.

My wife had her 18inch SAAB wheels done at a place in Melksham with one requiring straightening. Can’t remember the exact figure but that seem about right. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Had mine done here around 5 years ago....still look as good as new..
