Hello all. Some weeks ago I got in contact with Bodsy to flush my gearbox for the second time. The last time was in 2018 @ 60k and today I'm on 107k. Things evolved and he also did my neighbours D4 6 speed. Bodsy said it was a little dark and instead of 5 years/50k bring the time down to 3 years or 50k. He also commented that my gear selection was notchy and it was a stiff join in the mechanism. He replaced this and is quite common of a car of this vintage. So he changed it as he carries them. Must admit aftwards it was a "oh yeah" moment. I have no problem with my box, just preventative maintenance.

The last time I saw Bodsy was in Spain. And he had a beer (or some other beverage) in his hand whilst chewing the fat with Disco people.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

A thoroughly nice chap and boy does he do some miles. He went to Bristol after us and today he's in Cumbria. One chap is coming down from Aberdeen to have his FFRR flushed.

For anyone thinking of having it done, do so. You maybe surprised at the condition of your oil. Message him and he will get back to you. He tends not to answer calls as he's most probably working on someone's car. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
