Roof Rails

Does installing the roof rails and crossbar shown here:

http://www.landrover.com/us/en/Vehicles/Ra...torage.htm

require any drilling or is it a bolt on install?

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Java Black

My roof rails were dealer fitted but I understand there is quite a bit of work to do to fit them. It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

I miss my old RRS "bucket" rattling around but it just had to go!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Very Annoyed fitted roof rails and an expedition roof rack to his RRS. I'm sure he posted a few pictures of the process.

He will be along before long to prove me wrong I suppose. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I think it depens on how old the car is. I had 3 caps on each side in the plastic strip on the roof, that screw out with some difficulty. I thought they would pull out to strat off with. The job took less than an hour.

If you dont have the plugs I imagine it is more difficult.

If the black strip on the roof has 3 holes on each strip it's an easy job. If they don't simply buy the part from LR for about £25, easier than drilling new holes. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
