Very Annoyed fitted roof rails and an expedition roof rack to his RRS. I'm sure he posted a few pictures of the process.

I think it depens on how old the car is. I had 3 caps on each side in the plastic strip on the roof, that screw out with some difficulty. I thought they would pull out to strat off with. The job took less than an hour.

If the black strip on the roof has 3 holes on each strip it's an easy job. If they don't simply buy the part from LR for about £25, easier than drilling new holes. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
