I’m with the ‘bad battery’ camp. -13 is not an issue. Ok, I get plugs could be a factor, but if you need external juice you can be sure that battery is not happy. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

Hi,
regarding the FBH being locked out, it may be a cheap fix Question

depends what wires you have in the FBH plug, you can connect to a laptop with a simple home made lead or have a look in "The Shop" on here for a lead or it could be a fuse removal to reset it, you will have to search here or on D3 for the details

Thumbs Up

here you go

UPDATE

Yes I know it’s been a while, but with warm weather comes easy starting, so it slipped my mind.

Anyway, I charged the battery and it didn’t really help, so, I bit the bullet and bought the IID BT tool and FBH remote from BAS. Installed a new SIM card, sent a wee text, after unlocking and purging the FBH, and hey presto it worked.

I have been using it now for a few weeks as the temperature starts to dip and all is good;- well almost.

It looks like I might have some sort of battery drain as my battery registered 12.7 on the FBH text that I get, then it starts to drop to as low as 12.1 after 30 minutes? The battery shows 13.7 when the engine is running, and when taken off to charge, does get to a full charge pretty quickly (3-4) hours.

Could the FBH remote be the issue? Or is it likely to be elsewhere?

I’m concerned that the battery gets low, and the FBH uses even more volts so doesn’t start in any event! Previously owned 1999 Disco 2 TD5
