Uneven tyre wear

Hi, following a recent MOT the garage has warned me of uneven wear on the inner edge if 2 tyres. The tyres which are effective are opposite corners not on the same axle, I asked what may have caused this and they couldn't suggest anything. What they did confirm was they found no play elsewhere, does this leave a need to undertake a 4 wheel alignment?

A 4-wheel alignment would be a good place to start, yes. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

When I bought my TDV8 3 years ago the uneven tyre wear was very obvious had a new set of tyres & 4 wheel alignment carried out and has been perfect ever since.
