Do L494's have auxiliary Fuel Burning eaters like the pervious model? If so, do they all have it, only certain specs or was it a cost option?

not heard of any having an "Eater"

some have them have Heaters, it depends on engine not spec not many 3.0 have it unless timed climate offered which was expensive

Have a go with the orange banner "search" function for more reading you should get more details.

Ha! Of course I meant HEATER!

I was only wondering really. I used to have a 2010 RRS TDV8 (equivalent to HSE spec I believe) and it had one. I now have a 2016 RRS Autobiography Dynamic and it takes noticeably longer to begin to blow warm air on these cold mornings (not that we can drive anywhere any more).

Maybe by the time lock-down ends it'll be warm again?!

as said depends on your engine?

if its a 3.0 then doubt you have a FBH, istr the 4.4 all have it, its the engine that needs the help to heat up, dont think it was ever really about heating the inside of the car the early 2.7 then 3.0 the FBH was on to help the coolant get up to temp as soon as poss, which did then help to put heat into the car quicker

Heated seats and heated steering wheel is all you need for short trips

I have a 4.4, is it possible to retrofit the remote climate? if so is it the same unit as the L320 Facelift models?

Hi,

“Timed climate with remote park heat” has been a costed extra on both my L494 SDV6 AB’s.

Have you tried using the remote app to warm the car? It starts the engine but keeps the doors locked (for legal reasons) and will only allow gear selection if the smart key is detected (I believe).

The remote option isn't available on the 2016MY as far as I know 2016 Black SDV8 Autobiography

It was on my 16MY and is on my 19 MY.

Is your vehicle registered in your Incontrol account? If so, I believe it should work.

You will need to pay the relevant Incontrol subscription (£36 for basics)- the car only has 3yrs from new, so 16MY is probably out!

I just read this post and thought I must have missed something. What have I done now was my first concern . Of course driving a V8 is a bit like just Burning Fuel ... But its fun doing it  Robin

Hi my car has the remote heating and I have the app too. On my app it doesn’t say target temperature. Is this the old app or is it because my car is a bit older. It’s 2015
