They've reset the gearbox adaptive so the gearbox is now having to re-learn how worn it is. It will improve as the ECU adjusts for the wear.

Thanks RRSTDV8 - that sounds more promising. The thought of potential transmission damage had me feeling quite queasy all week!

I'd drive it gently for 100 miles and hopefully the gearbox will figure itself out and be smooth again. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
