United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand
Red EML

Looking for some help from the Gurus here.
My brother-in-law has a Disco Sport - no we don’t want sympathy. This morning after starting it and exiting his drive he stopped to enter the main road when he noticed a Red EML symbol on the display area between the two dials.
He stopped the engine and obviously it went out. After checking around and seeing nothing untoward he checked oil etc and then started the engine and the display was clear.
My searches are suggesting a transient fault with the emissions control system.

Any thought would be appreciated.

Hi,
you only need a sensor to have a blip of Out of Parameters and it can put a light on or/and log a fault code

if you can get hooked up to a code reader (an IID may well read the codes even if not logged to it) have a look but if its just a one off, its a landrover dont lose any sleep Whistle

however if it comes on again checking for codes will be a must to narrow it down Question

and red is normally a Stop, do not pass go.

Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
gone Porsche Cayenne 2020

Absolutely, and that’s what I’ve advised him to do. Personally Ive never seen a RED EML only amber.
